Old-fashioned diner style pancakes

Sometimes all you really need in life is a short stack of pancakes. And then everything is better.


  • 1.5 cups flour

  • 3.5 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 egg

  • 3 tbsp melted butter

  • optional

  • dark chocolate

  • chopped walnuts


  • Add the flour, baking powder, and salt to a bowl. Make a divot in the center.

  • Mix the egg and butter until smooth.

  • Fry on medium to high heat

  • and add whatever mix-ins that make you happiest.
