Candy Cane Caprese Toast

This Candy Cane Caprese Toast makes for the perfect appetizer this Christmas! It's quick, cute, and delicious.

  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, thinly sliced

  • 4 oz mozzarella balls, thinly sliced

  • Basil leaves, thinly sliced

  • Olive oil

  • Balsamic vinegar

  • Salt to taste

  • Pepper to taste

  • 1 french baguette


  1. Cut your baguette in half, across the entire baguette, and then into individual slices. On an oiled pan over medium heat, put your baguettes face down to toast, for around 3-5 minutes or until golden.

  2. Meanwhile, start thinly slicing your cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and basil

  3. Drizzle olive oil onto your toast, then add a base layer of basil. Alternate between the tomato slices and mozzarella slices to create a candy cane shape. Then add some vinegar, and salt and pepper to taste.
