Peri Peri Chicken Puff Pastry Pull Apart

The Honey Aleppo version of this recipe hit 6.5M views on TikTok. But unfortunately, Trader Joe’s discontinued the sauce, so we had to find an alternative. We made it with peri peri sauce instead, and it tastes similar to a Buffalo wrap! Still very good, but we miss the honey aleppo sauce.

  • 2 oz cream cheese

  • 1/4 cup Peri Peri Sauce

  • 2 tbsp Boursin cheese

  • 3 chicken thighs, shredded

  • 1 puff pastry roll

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp minced garlic

  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

  • ranch (optional to serve)


  1. Preheat the oven to 375º

  2. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, Peri Peri sauce, and Boursin. Stir together until evenly mixed. Add in the cooked and shredded chicken and toss together.

  3. Unroll the puff pastry. Place the Peri Peri chicken down the middle of the pastry dough, leaving 1/3rd of the dough untouched on each side. Slice the dough in diagonal lines, so that you can use the dough to do a criss-crossed pattern on top of the chicken.

  4. Combine melted butter and garlic in a small bowl. Brush the top of the pastry dough with the butter mixture.

  5. Put in the oven for 25-35 minutes, or until golden brown.

  6. We dipped it in ranch, but feel free to eat it as is. Let us know what else you think it'd be good with!
