EBTB Pretzels

I’ve been going through a phase where I’m really into making my own dough, but you can definitely just buy dough at TJs to make life easier!

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 tbsp butter at room temperature

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 3/4 cups all purpose flour

  • 2 tsp dry active yeast

  • 1/4 cup baking soda

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tbsp water

  • TJ's Everything But the Bagel Seasoning

  • 3 tbsp butter

Cheese Dip

  • 1/8th of the TJ's Carmelized Onion Cheddar Cheese

  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 8 oz cheddar cheese, grated

  • salt and pepper to taste

  1. Add all the ingredients into your bread machine in the order listed. Press the dough option (should be around 1.5 hours). If you don't want to make your own dough, you can also buy the premade TJs pizza dough!

  2. Flour your surface. Split the dough into 14 parts and roll each one out. Follow our video to fold into a pretzel shape!

  3. Preheat oven to 400ºF. Meanwhile, boil water in a medium pot and add 1/4 cup baking soda. Put pretzels into the water, leaving it in for 30 seconds each side. Place on an oiled cookie sheet after boiling.

  4. Make an egg wash by whisking together 1 egg and 1 tbsp water. Coat the pretzels with the egg wash. Sprinkle TJ's EBTB on top.

  5. Bake the pretzels for 10-15 minutes at 400ºF or until golden brown.

  6. Melt butter to coat on top of the finished pretzels!

  7. To make the cheese dip, combine all the ingredients in a bowl and microwave or heat on the stove until melted.
