Mac and Cheese

This might be ~cheesy~ but nothing beats a good ole Mac and Cheese night🧀 But we spiced it up with some jalapeños! 🌶


  • 1 bag macaroni

  • 1/4 cup butter

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • Dash pepper

  • Jalapenos

  • 2 cups whole milk

  • 8 oz cheddar cheese, shredded

  • Panko Breadcrumbs


  1. Bring water to a boil in a medium-sized pot. Cook the macaroni as instructed on the package.

  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, jalapenos, salt, and pepper. Whisk in milk. Bring to a boil, stir constantly. After 1-2 minutes, add in the cheese and stir until melted.

  3. Pour cheese over macaroni-- or pour macaroni into the saucepan if large enough.

  4. Pour mac and cheese into a pan. Use a spatula to flatten it out, then sprinkle panko breadcrumbs on top (I used around 1/4 cup but feel free to do more or less!).

  5. Put into the oven on broil for 4 minutes or until the top starts browning.
